How they actually win
Through technology and adaptation — the accumulated engineering of a machine civilisation fighting for survival. Concrete strategy advice here would be dishonest: the Xol are a beta faction, they are excluded from ranked, and their numbers are explicitly still moving.
What we are not going to tell you
We are not publishing a Xol build order or tier placement. Anything specific enough to be useful would also be specific enough to be wrong by the next patch. Play them in skirmish and Galactic War, watch the patch notes, and come back when they enter ranked.
Should you pick them?
You enjoy figuring out a faction before the meta does, and you do not mind patch-to-patch instability.
You want a stable ladder faction right now.
The other three
ProtectorateA Caelo Ad TerramThe most conventional army in the game. Infantry, armour and air that all behave the way an RTS player expects, with siege-style firepower to punish a static defence.
GrellGrow. Expand. Exterminate. You expand by spreading roots and biomass across the battlefield rather than just planting more bases. Territory is the resource; ceding ground costs you more than it costs other factions.
LegionAcross a Million Worlds, We MarchDrown the opponent in expendable bodies, then follow up with the Terror Tank — a mobile fortress that reconfigures as the fight changes. You trade units freely and win by never letting the enemy reset.
